Northwestern beat the Wisconsin Badgers 31-17, on Saturday, and some players went a long way towards making that happen. I'll tell you about five that, the record shows, fit the description.

1

Isaiah Bowser (Northwestern)

The Wildcats' rushing offense has been mostly bad in 2018. On Saturday Bowser stepped up with 117 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries.

2

Montre Hartage (Northwestern

The Wildcats defense came up big on Saturday. Hartage had five tackles, four passes defensed, and one fumble recovery.

3

Clayton Thorson (Northwestern)

Thorson struggled at times, throwing three interceptions, but he also had 167 yards and a touchdown through the air. It was his ability to find the end zone on the ground that gets him on this list. He had 29 yards and two TDs against Wisconsin.
