Tampa Bay Lightning (1-0)
Tampa Bay was ranked No. 1 in the preseason, and after winning their first game, there's no reason to change that just yet. They escaped with a 2-1 shootout win over the Panthers in their season opener this past weekend. They'll get four more home games before a road trip which bodes well for their rank next week.
Confirmed: Four days between games is TOO LONG.

Nashville Predators (2-0)
Yet another team that is among the 2-0 squads in the Central Division, is Nashville. They've defeated the Islanders and Rangers, so far, but will get a test against the Winnipeg Jets this week.

Washington Capitals (1-0-1)
In just two games, the defending Stanley Cup Champions are scoring goals at a furious pace. They've recorded 13 of them en route to a 1-0-1 record. They've given up seven, but this could be a good sign early for the team to continue on a path back toward the finals.

Dallas Stars (2-0)
Four teams are 2-0, right now, in the Central Division, with one of those being the Dallas Stars. Their 5-1 win over Winnipeg was also a huge early statement and they've got a seven goal differential right now in the standings.
Tavares is in Toronto and Seguin stayed home. Both guys were the talk of the offseason and now they'll go head-to-head in Dallas on Tuesday night.

Toronto Maple Leafs (2-1)
Toronto is in a three-way tie with Buffalo and Boston, at the moment, in the Atlantic Division, with four points. However, all three teams have given up as many goals as they've scored. In the Maple Leafs' favor early is the returns they're receiving from John Tavares, who already has four goals.
