Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
These tasty treats top the list of the most popular candies. The chocolate cups with ridges and an interior of yummy peanut butter are tough to beat. These were started by Hershey's way back in 1928, but are still going strong today, with well over $500 million in annual sales!

M&Ms candies
The second most popular candy isn't far behind on the list. On the surface, it's only a difference of about $10 million, give or take a bit. These are those favorite little candies sporting a variety of colors and themes. The Mars candy has even spawned an entire store in NYC's Times Square and elsewhere!

Snickers bar
Another Mars entry on the top five list, these began in 1930 and have topped $450 million in sales. They now feature popular commercials, in which celebs or everyday people aren't quite feeling themselves until they have a Snickers. Not a bad way to sell a few more candy bars!

Hershey's bar
It's only natural that the company that started a lot of this madness has its trademark candy bar here. The Hershey's bar is pure chocolate excellence. It's the best of the best in the pure candy bar world and has been around since the year 1900. There's also a Hershey theme park in honor of the brand and it's popular candies.
