Khloé Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl on April 12. The baby weighed 6 lbs.,13 oz., and measured 21 inches in length. It is Khloé's first child that she has wanted for a long time. It is the second child of her boyfriend, Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson. The father already has a 16-month-old son named Prince Oliver from a previous relationship.

The E! series was filming at the hospital for Season 15 of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Therefore, viewers will be able to see what happened on the day Khloé became a mother.

The 33-year-old reality star gave birth in Cleveland with her family by her side.

The 27-year old father was also there to welcome his baby girl into the world just days after he made headlines for cheating on his pregnant girlfriend. Even so, the baby was given his last name.

Two days after the birth of the baby, Khloé revealed that she named her daughter True Thompson. It is not a name she pulled out of a hat. There are two special reasons she and her family agreed on that particular name.

About the name of the baby

Khloé posted on Twitter the name of her newborn. She added that her baby has already stolen the hearts of her mother and father, and they are happy to welcome her into the family. Many people know that the Kardashians are known for giving their children unique names.

Therefore, they think Khloé followed suit and did the same thing, but that is not the case with the name "True."

True's grandmother, Kris Jenner, is the one who posted on Instagram an explanation of the name. She wrote that her grandfather's name on her father's side was named True Otis Houghton and her father's name was Robert True Houghton.

Kris added that she is so excited that Khloé named her granddaughter True. So, you see, the name pays homage to two family members.

At the end of Kris' Instagram post, she tagged the baby.

Before True is even a week old, she already has her own Instagram page. No photos of the baby have been posted yet.

Other Kardashian baby names

Every time a Kardashian or Jenner baby is born, fans of the family are curious to know what the name will be. In the past, all the names have been unique. Kourtney's children's names are Mason Dash Disick, Penelope Scotland Disick, and Reign Aston Disick. All the children have Scott Disick's last name even though he and Kourtney never married.
