In just a couple of years from now, the '90s will be 20 or more years ago. Time does fly when you're having fun, so sometimes it's nice to look back at the simpler times. Times when we weren't so engrossed with our mobile phones and social media, stalking every Kardashian and Taylor Swift significant other. Times when we'd have to wait for the latest issue of those teen magazines just to find out what our celebrity crush's height or favorite color is.

Speaking of crushes, here are five heartthrobs from the late '90s that we all swore we'd marry 20 years from that time.

1. Jonathan Taylor Thomas

All the cool kids adored Jonathan Taylor Thomas A.K.A. JTT, whose claim to fame was his role as Tim on the ABC sitcom "Home Improvement," a role that he played for nine years. He eventually voiced young Simba in "The Lion King," who we also had a crush on, to be honest.

2. Devon Sawa

Devon Sawa captured hearts the world over as Casper the Friendly Ghost's human form in the 1994 hit film "Casper," where he starred alongside Christina Ricci. He was the first love of a lot of tweens at the time.

3. Barry Watson

For the slightly older crowd who were well into their teen years in the late '90s, there was Barry Watson, whose grungy long hair and River Phoenix stare were enough to make young ladies swoon. Refinery 29 even commented that he looked a lot like a young Jared Padalecki, who also rose to superstardom in the 2000s with "Gilmore Girls" and "Supernatural." Despite losing the long hair, Watson is still pursuing an acting career, with his most prominent role being Steven Spence in "Gossip Girl."

4. Frankie Muniz

While Frankie Muniz rose to fame with "Malcolm in the Middle," he did begin his career in the late '90s, with roles in "Spin City" and "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch." As he never replicated the success he achieved with "Malcolm in the Middle," he remains behind the scenes, managing musical talent.

5. Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Mark-Paul Gosselaar remains, to this day, best known for his role as Zack Morris in "Saved by the Bell," which ran from 1989 to 1993. The now 44-year old is still acting, with roles on both the big and small screens.

6. Andrew Keegan

For those who grew up watching "7th Heaven," you'd recall the addition of Andrew Keegan as the bad boy to Barry Watson's good guy next door. He also played the same role in "10 Things I Hate About You," which probably made him a stereotype for those kinds of roles in future projects.
