New York City is all about being big. Chick-fil-A has followed that by opening their largest store in the Finance District. The restaurant has five floors and a rooftop terrace. It’s located on Fulton Street, between Nassau Street and Broadway.
The location can seat up to 140 guests. According to Chick-fil-A, the new restaurant has two kitchens and offers space for semi-private meetings. Customers have the ability to skip the expected long line by ordering and paying with the Chick-fil-A One app. Employees are working to shorten the wait time by using tablet devices to order food as soon as guests enter the restaurant.
The new Chick-fil-A will employ 150 team members.

All locations in and around New York often donate food to the homeless and different food kitchen organizations, including the New York Common Pantry. The company has become popular among the public, but has received criticism over the years, mainly for their opposition to same-sex marriage.
Chick-fil-A continues to build in New York
This is the fourth location in the New York City area. The last one opened near Grand Central Station. The popular restaurant is open Monday to Saturday, and is closed on Sundays.
Just recently it was revealed by NBC New York that Chick-fil-A is the favorite fast-food chain among those in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The rooftop terrace offers an amazing view of One World Trade Center.
New York City resident Luke Cook is the owner and operator of the new location. Cook was originally a hourly employee at an Atlanta location, before working his way up to become a local franchise owner in Pennsylvania and then became an owner in his home state of Louisiana.
Currently there are over 2,000 locations throughout 47 states and Washington D.C. In 2017, the company earned more than $9 billion in revenue.
Chick-fil-A was designed to honor the Twin Towers
The newest location is located just a few blocks away from the 9/11 Memorial. While it has become the company’s largest restaurant, it’s also the narrowest at a mere 15 feet wide.
The restaurant has also incorporated floor-to-ceiling windows on each level, as well as a rear courtyard.
Three floors are open for food service. The new restaurant was built by Nathaniel Cates. Cates said he got inspiration from the Twin Towers, saying he wanted to stack the front of the restaurant with glass windows and other elements built into the façade, to pay respect to the Twin Towers. The restaurant is expected to be constantly busy.
