After taking the wraps off the mid-range categories of smartphones, nokia 3, 5 and 6, the Finnish tech-giant is now preparing for the launch of its high-end flagship handset — the Nokia 9. Apart from this, Nokia is also rumored to be working on a Nokia 8 smartphone as well. While the company hasn’t made any formal announcement regarding the same, it appears like several leaks and speculations regarding the same have given away quite a few key details about the upcoming smartphones. Now, a new report has revealed the processors set to arrive with the smartphones mentioned above.

These devices — which are scheduled to launch towards the end of 2017 — are going to come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest line-up of processors.

Launching by the end of the year

As reported by Gadgets 360, citing leaked information provided by an unnamed tipster on the Chinese website Baidu — Nokia is working on three new smartphones that they plan on launching by the end of this year. These smartphones are Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 and they will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630, Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip processors respectively. The recently-launched Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones have already been powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 202 SoC or the processors build by MediaTek, points out NokiaPowerUser.

Now, Nokia’s upcoming smartphones will sport a renewed line-up of processors.

A series of mid-range smartphones

As for the specifications, the Nokia 9 smartphone is expected to come packed with a 5.3-inch QHD (1,440 x 2,560-pixel resolution) display and as mentioned before, will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Several other flagship smartphones including Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and Google’s speculated Pixel 2 smartphones are also powered by the same processor. It will be interesting to see these high-end smartphones come face-to-face at the same time. Apart from this, the Nokia 9 smartphone is expected to offer 8GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage as well.

On the camera front, Nokia is heavily-rumored to be working on integrating its Nokia 9 smartphone with a dual rear camera set-up. However, this piece of information hasn’t been attested by the company as yet. Therefore, it is best that the details are taken with a grain of salt and nothing else.

Nokia’s already-launched 3, 5 and 6 smartphones are already available in numerous market for pre-orders. These smartphones fall in the mid-range category and promise to deliver the perfect smartphone experience for first-time users.
