The Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, and Philadelphia 76ers are now finalizing their lineups as they waive some of their players to make their final roster for the upcoming NBA regular season that will be starting on October 17.

Few notable players including Kendrick Perkins, Joel Anthony, Brandon Rush, Trey Burke, Kris Humphries, and Emeka Okafor are now without NBA teams. Cavaliers' head coach Tyronn Lue also offered Kendrick Perkins a coaching job if he is unable to find a team for the upcoming NBA season.

Cleveland Cavaliers waive Kendrick Perkins

Kendrick Perkins has been out of the NBA since the 2015-2016 season where he played for the New Orleans Pelicans and averaged 2.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game. The Cavaliers signed him in September 2017. After releasing Kendrick Perkins and trading away Richard Jefferson and Kay Felder, the Cleveland Cavaliers now have 15 players on their roster.

Joel Anthony, Gary Payton II, and Brandon Rush waived by the Milwaukee Bucks

Joel Anthony averaged 1.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.2 assists in the 19 games he played during the past NBA season for the San Antonio Spurs. Garry Payton II appeared in six games last season with the Milwaukee Bucks; he averaged 3.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

Brandon Rush played for the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2016-2017 NBA season where he averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. The Bucks signed Payton to a multi-year contract in April of 2017 while both Anthony and Rush were signed on September of 2017.

New York Knicks waive Trey Burke, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, and Nigel Hayes

Trey Burke averaged 2.0 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game last season playing for the Washington Wizards. Burke was recently signed on October 11, 2017, by the New York Knicks but did not appear during the NBA preseason games. Rookies Xavier Rathan-Mayes out of Florida State University and Nigel Hayes from the University of Wisconsin were both signed in August of 2017.

Emeka Okafor, Kris Humphries, and James Blackmon Jr. were waived by the Philadelphia 76ers

Emeka Okafor has been out of the league since 2013. He played for the Washington Wizards in his last season in the NBA where he averaged 9.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Kris Humphries played for the Atlanta Hawks during the past two NBA seasons. During the past season, he averaged 4.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. Rookie James Blackmon Jr. out of Indiana University signed his rookie contract in August of 2017 while both Okafor and Humphries were signed on September of 2017.
