NBA.com has reported that the Boston Celtics were able to defeat the Sixers by a score of 110-102 at Wells Fargo Center. Kyrie Irving played 25 minutes in last night's game, and he made the most of those minutes by leading Boston by scoring 21 points. The Philadelphia 76ers did not play Markelle Fultz and Joel Embiid last night which led to Ben Simmons playing 23 minutes.

Ben Simmons fills up the stat sheets

Ben Simmons once again looked very good on the floor against the Boston Celtics. Despite the loss, Simmons did a little bit of everything. He contributed eight points, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals in last nights game.

He did shoot the ball poorly making only three of his eight field goal attempts and missing four of his six free throw shots. Ben Simmons is showing great potential and talent but he has to improve his shooting if he wants to take the next step in the NBA.

Okafor continues to impress in preseason games

Jahlil Okafor continues to play very well in this years preseason games. Last night against the Boston Celtics, he once again had a decent game. He contributed 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He shot the ball at an amazing rate with 71.4 percent from the field making five of his seven field goal attempts. The Sixers have been rumored of shopping Jahlil Okafor, but with how well he has been playing so far, the Sixers may be having some second thoughts.

Bayless and Reddick made six three-pointers combined

With how dominant Joel Embid is down low and how good Simmons is at attacking the rim, the three-point shooters of the Sixers will surely have a great time with how much space they can work with. This showed last night against the Boston Celtics with the Sixers making 14 of their 31 three-point attempts.

JJ Redick made all three of his three-point shots and Jerryd Bayless made three of his five three-point attempts. With the east looking weak next season the Philadelphia 76ers may actually have a very slim chance of making the playoffs if everyone stays healthy.

Irving looking good in Boston

Kyrie Irving put on a show last night against the Philadelphia 76ers.

He contributed 21 points (game high), two rebounds, three assists, and one steal. He shot the ball very well making five of his seven three-point shots and going 50 percent from the field. As the season draws closer, NBA fans are surely very excited with the Boston Celtics facing the Cleveland Cavaliers on NBA opening night.
