The WWE Universe will be glued to their TV sets, monitors, or other screens for Sunday's "Extreme Rules" 2017 pay-per-view. Among the matches will be a one-on-one bout between Dean Ambrose and The Miz with Ambrose's Wwe Intercontinental Title on the line. While most of the matches have stipulations in place for the match competitors, this match's stipulation only applies to Ambrose. If the current champion gets himself disqualified during the match, it means The Miz automatically wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Here's the latest preview of The Miz vs.

Ambrose including a prediction of who might win on Sunday.

Match preview

These two superstars are certainly no strangers to one another as their paths have crossed on "SmackDown." Dean Ambrose started his second-ever Intercontinental Championship reign when he defeated The Miz back on the January 3rd episode of "SmackDown Live" in Jacksonville, Florida. He's currently held the title for a reign of 151 days and counting which is nearing his opponent's reign back in April of 2016 of 188 days.

The Miz will be trying to win the Intercontinental Championship for the seventh time in his career. If he pulls that off, it makes him second only to Chris Jericho. "Y2J" has nine total reigns as the champion.

Miz will etch his names in the history books once again, along with other greats to have held the title including Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Dean Ambrose has been involved in plenty of tough matches ranging from Street Fights to his own Ambrose Asylum match.

However, this one could be his toughest challenge yet. With Maryse at ringside, it seems to give The Miz an advantage in this latest matchup. Could she just strike The Miz and cause an easy disqualification on Ambrose to win her husband the title? Or will Dean Ambrose be able to outsmart the "It Couple" to hold onto his championship belt?

Match prediction

As mentioned, this sort of "Extreme Rules" match stipulation plays perfectly into the hands of The Miz. WWE has been teasing him finding some sneaky way to win the title, the question is what will it be. Will Miz cause Dean Ambrose to simply lose his cool and get himself disqualified?

The odds makers at the Paddy Powersports book are listing The Miz at 2 to 5 odds to win, while Ambrose is currently a 7 to 4 underdog. That mean that Monday's episode of "Raw" could be a celebratory edition of "MizTV" with Miz boasting of his reclaimed WWE Intercontinental Championship. How awesome would that be?
