What did this crew member say about the series?

What happened, was a crew member for the show, John Rotan, revealed that he was visiting the Duggar’s home state of Arkansas for Thanksgiving. With his IMDB page saying that he is the director of photography for "Counting On," it could mean that he was going to the state to visit the family. You could even speculate that because he flew over there around Thanksgiving, he was filming the Duggar’s Thanksgiving dinner and that is what many fans online believe.

It was reported on the internet that Rotan had an exchange with Amy Duggar online about the clan's Thanksgiving dinner. Rotan said the following online about the family’s holiday meal: “Yeah…those Duggar Thanksgiving dinners! #foodbaby #kiddingnotkidding.” With Rotan joking about having a food baby from the family’s dinner it is pretty obvious that he was at the house to do something for the family.
