Although “Prison Break” Season 6 has yet to be renewed, fans have high hopes that it will soon return to the small screens. In fact, in an interview with the show’s executive producer Paul Scheuring, he teased that the show may possibly continue with a very good storyline.

With that, the 48-year-old screenwriter talked about the most probable things to happen and the possible comeback of some characters. After the swirling rumors that Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein) is still alive, there are now reports that John Abruzzi (Peter Stormare) will be once again seen.

The possible return of Stormare

In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Paul Scheuring discussed the potential appearance of John Abruzzi or one from the Abruzzi family in “Prison Break” Season 6.

"Oh, I would die to have Stormare back,” the director told the publication. However, while he was talking, he made a quick pause, had second thoughts, and continued saying that the 63-year-old star’s return wasn’t a bad idea at all. "Oh, man. Season six! You cracked it!" he added.

From the looks of it, just like Paul Kellerman, John Abruzzi might also be alive.

To recall, Peter Stormare played a role of the big shot mob boss in Chicago. He was guilty of two counts of conspiracy murder and was sentenced to spend 120 years in prison without parole.

But his influence and connection made him privileged to live normally while behind the bars. However, at the end of the show’s second season, the FBI along with Agent Mahone (William Fichtner) put him to rest.

A probable end of the story

Evidently, Paul Scheuring is thinking of ideas to continue “Prison Break” Season 6. Although it is merely a joke, he still has the intention to proceed with the story.

However, the television serial drama’s previous season concluded with a “closed-ended" tale. Thus, fans are confused as to whether the creator is just tricking them and making them hope that there will be a sixth season.

“There's a zero percent chance of the show coming back if we don't have a top-notch story,” Paul Scheuring explained to the Hollywood Reporter.

He added that at this time, they don’t have this “top-notch” story yet. However, this doesn’t mean that they can’t make the best-quality narrative that their producers are looking for. As a matter of fact, he, along with the show’s writers, wants the new storyline to be of “very high value and high quality.”

But, viewers can’t expect it to be announced anytime soon. “So it may never come back,” he added. He continued to say that if they can’t produce a new tale that will be quite different from the others, they can’t continue the show So, they have to think of a new plot that will definitely knock the fans’ socks off, especially now that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is out of the prison.
