Jana Duggar wears many hats but no veil
The eldest "19 Kids and Counting" daughter is a woman of many talents, save one. Relationships with men are not in her skillset. It's not that the "Counting On" star has failed at love. She just hasn't seemed to try. But it's certainly not for lack of trying by matchmaking family or fans.
Reality TV fans have "hooked her up" with "Bringing Up Bates" Lawson Bates and his brother. Then Tim Tebow was suggested as a suitor, and most recently, Jonathon Hartono. Yet among the many younger early-to-wed siblings, Jana and her twin Jon David Duggar remain staunchly single.
Jana Duggar a young "old maid'?
The fact that a 28-year-old is unmarried would not be unusual in most families.
But in the "19 Kids and Counting" clan it stands out like a sore thumb. Siblings a decade her junior are hitching up. Joy-Anna Duggar, 19, just tied the knot with Austin Forsyth. Little brother Joseph Duggar is courting Kendra Caldwell.
It would be understandable if the "Counting On" daughter was somehow incapacitated. But she's proved herself just as capable of parenting and caregiving as her mega-mom Michelle Duggar.
Jana Duggar too busy to care for herself?
Every episode of "Counting On" — and "19 Kids and Counting" before that — showed Jana Duggar hard at work in the background. When elder brother Josh Duggar fessed up to his porn addiction, pedophilia, adultery, and went to rehab, who helped his wife Anna Duggar raise their kids? Rumor has it that it wasn't Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar.
Instead, it was their daughter Jana.
Now Jessa Seewald, Joy-Anna Duggar, Jinger Vuolo and Jill Dillard are suing their local police over their brother's behavior. But Jana, who was likely victimized too, has opted out of the lawsuit.
Jana Duggar does too much good?
The one thing the reality television star has done on her own was to buy a vacated tattoo parlor. Miss Duggar purchased the commercial property but what the "Counting On" celebrity plans to do with it isn't clear. It will doubtlessly involve some kind of outreach as mission work is Jana's middle name. Many friends and fans wonder if this beloved celebrity of "19 Kids and Counting" isn't caring for others at the expense of herself.
