Not your normal dating arrangement, but not unheard of either

Hunter Biden told Page Six that he and Hallie were incredibly lucky to have found love and support for each other during a difficult time. He added that friends and family have also supported them every step of the way. Former Vice President Joe Biden even stated the couple had his and wife Jill’s complete support and they were happy for the couple. It is not clear when the two started dating.

A father’s pain

Devastated by the loss of a child, the former Vice President cited Beau’s death as one of the reasons why he was not ready to run against Donald Trump in the presidential race. Now that he and Barack Obama are out of office, he will serve as founding chair of Delaware’s Biden Institute.

The institute will serve as a new research and policy center to discus important issues.

A beloved son gone too soon

Joe Biden has seen more than his fair share of family tragedy. Beau was the eldest son born to Joe and Neilia Hunter Biden, who tragically died along with their young daughter in an automobile accident while Christmas shopping in December 1972.

Beau was less than 4-years-old at the time and his brother Hunter was not yet three. The two boys were also riding in the car, with Beau suffering multiple broken bones. Beau Biden suffered a minor stroke in 2010 and was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2013. President Obama delivered the eulogy at his funeral in 2015.
