From Software, the company behind the critically-acclaimed action RPG “dark souls,” is reportedly working on a new project. But it’s not about a new "Dark Souls" or "Bloodborne" game. The Japanese gaming studio is currently working on a new "Armoured Core" game.

This week, From Software finally broke its silence and addressed rumors that have been circulating since last year that is working on a new "Armored Core" game. The Japanese gaming studio has finally acknowledged the continued development of the "Armored Core" series in a recent tweet, which gives fans new hope about the new installment.

While the Japanese gaming giant hasn’t yet made an official announcement about the new game, the Japanese company certainly seems to have confirmed that they have no intention to end the game series and told fans they could wait a little bit longer. Also in the tweet, From Software announced the 20th anniversary of the game’s first release - December 5. The company has celebrated that big event with the release of a special PS4 music broadcast.

The game has taken lots of energy and time

In addition to the new "Armored Core" game, From Software has also been rumored to be looking at delving into the realm of virtual reality gaming. Then, there are also previous rumors about a hiring spree for a new dark fantasy RPG.

Fans have worried that the company may be too busy to work on other gaming plans, such as a new "Dark Souls" or "Bloodborne" installment.

The latest reports from Forbes suggest that From Software is not done yet with its new "Armored Core" game. The Japanese studio is reportedly struggling and still in the development stage.

So it’s no doubt the game has taken lots of time and effort by the Japanese company. Some analysts believe that this might be the reason why the company hasn’t made any confirmation or plans yet about a new "Dark Souls" or "Bloodborne" game. From Software and Bandai Namco have decided to end the popular action RPG "Dark Souls" with one last big update, "The Ringed City" DLC.

According to Forbes, the last entry in the game series was the "Armored Core Verdict Day," which was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles in 2013. The absence of a new game has been a bit odd here and sounds unpopular for players. Fans have already become used to From Software’s approach of having a new game almost every year since the 1997 original game release.
