Earlier this month, the hallyu community learned that Moon Hee Jun and Soyul were having a baby. Though news of a happily married couple having their first child would often be considered good tidings, their pregnancy announcement was met with mixed reactions. Many Koreans were upset the two lied about their pregnancy when asked if that was the reason for their rushed marriage. International fans on the other hand were primarily congratulatory as they did not see Hee Jun and Soyul's "shotgun marriage" as anything derogatory.

Now we have news of another popular Hallyu couple expecting a baby.

Rain and Kim Tae Hee will be having their first child in which they are already 15 weeks into the pregnancy.

Kim Tae Hee's agency Lua Entertainment breaks the pregnancy news

The news of Jung Ji Hoon -- better known by his stage name Rain -- and his wife Kim Tae Hee having their first child was made known by Lua Entertainment. The agency and label representing Tae Hee released an official statement starting out with a reiteration of the couple recently marrying back on January 19, 2017. They followed-up with the couple's pregnancy making it known that Tae Hee is already 15 weeks in.

Tae Hee is also being very careful as she focuses on prenatal care.

Another important detail Lua Entertainment brought up is that they believed they should let fans who've been supporting Rain and Kim Tae Hee know about the pregnancy first instead of the news leaking. This decision was most likely made as a result of what happened with Moon Hee Jun and Soyul earlier.

Will Rain take time off for his future family?

Rain will probably take some time to be with his family once his child is born. Until then, he is busy with numerous acting projects this year. For starters, his drama "Endless Autumn" is set to release sometime within the second half of 2017. He plays the character Qiao opposite singer-actress of K-pop girl group f(x), Victoria Song ("Ice Fantasy").

Fans hope the C-drama will get more recognition than Rain's last drama, "Please Come Back, Mister," as it was a flop simply because it aired on the same days and times as "Descendants of the Sun."

Rain will also be starring in a new K-movie opposite Kang So Ra ("Warm & Cozy" a.k.a. "Jeju Island Gatsby") titled "Uhm Bok Dong." It is about a Korean cyclist active during the Japanese colonial era, Uhm Bok Dong. He is regarded as a "cycling hero" during the time. The K-movie will also feature the story of the Uiyeoldan, a group of armed independence fighters established in 1919 who protested against the Japanese colonization of Korea between 1910 to 1945. They bombed key facilities and assassinated key figures related to Japan's imperialistic aggression in Korea.

Are there any acting projects Kim Tae Hee completed prior to her pregnancy?

The last time Kim Tae Hee was seen on the either the Korean silver or small screen was in the popular Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) K-drama "Yong Pal." She won a Top Excellence Acting Award from the 2015 Korean Drama Awards for her role as Han Yeo Jin.

Other than that, Kim Tae Hee has one more C-drama she filmed back in 2013 to 2014 that has yet to be released titled "Saint Wang Xizhi." In the historical fiction series based off the life of famous Chinese calligrapher Wang Xizhi, she plays his wife.

There will be more updates on Rain and Kim Tae Hee the closer we get to their expected due date. Right now, fans around the world are giving their congratulations to the popular Hallyu couple on their first child.
