The new Canon EOS Rebel SL3 will be available before the end of this month with the boast of being the lightest at 15.84 oz., smallest 4.82 x 3.65 x 2.75 in. and most comfortable of Cannons EOS DSLR cameras. EOS Rebel SL3 brings a number of features that are not available on the previous models, like the ability to capture 4K video recording, 4K time-lapse movies, along with a new Smooth Skin option, that can help render skin tones, Dual Pixel CMOS auto focus with 9-point eye-detection, and to focus on a precise area within the image it has a new Spot auto-focus mode.

Other great features include, Cannon's latest version of imaging processor, DIGIC 8, a Digital Lens Optimizer that automatically corrects optical shifting, continuously shooting up to 5 frames-per-second and built in capability for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, that allows for a remote control set-up and easy transfer and/or printing of images. Another key feature of this camera is the assist functions that offers tips and guides on advance features, along with sample photos in each mode, so the user can take more effective shots.

Screen, battery and controls

The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 has a three-inch tilt and swivel touch LCD screen, allowing for automatic zooming in on images or swiping through images after they are taken with just a touch of the screen. The Clear View screen features a optical viewfinder with coverage of about 95 percent and seven brightness levels that supports the ease of high quality selfies and other creative shots.

Rebel SL3 camera packs a LP-E17 battery that with a full eight hour charge takes 1070 shots. It has a built-in secondary battery, an automatic battery check and power saver. The camera has a USB 2.0, a microphone port, built in and external flash and a two or ten second self-timer. Operating controls consist of easy to find buttons, dials and switches.

The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 will be available in the basic black and white color by the end of April.
