OnePlus is a very important company in the smartphone world and its products are considered by fans as real " flagship killers." The latter term, coined by the Chinese company a few years ago, expresses the company's philosophy; to create low-cost devices capable of rivaling the most expensive and renowned top-of-the-range products. A "challenge" that saw OnePlus at a disadvantage at the start, but which, in reality, the Chinese company has been winning in recent years.
Smartphones like OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T have been warmly welcomed by both critics and the public, and the brand is gaining more and more value.
OnePlus 7 arrives in this context, which has the task of once again demonstrating the company's capabilities and bringing the brand even higher. So let's see what the next flagship killer should look like.
Specs and features
The rumors and the leakages online are numerous and go to reconstruct an almost complete picture of OnePlus 7. First of all, the most important novelty seems to be linked to the display, which apparently takes up the all-screen design of Vivo Nex, presenting a pop-up front room. In this way, the screen-to-body ratio should reach around 95 percent and make the front very pleasing to the eye. As for the specifications, according to Times of India, the screen should be a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels).
Under the body, there will almost certainly be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor operating at a maximum frequency of 2.84 GHz (1 x 2.84 GHz + 3 x 2.42 GHz + 4 x 1.8 GHz), flanked by an Adreno 640 GPU, 6 / 10GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256 / 512GB of internal memory.
The autonomy should be very high thanks to a 4150 mAh battery, which could guarantee a lot of satisfaction if we consider the already good results seen with smaller batteries in the previous iterations.
However, they could leave out wireless charging and the 3.5 mm audio jack, with the latter being replaced by the USB Type-C port. The size of the smartphone should be 162.6 x 76 x 8.8 mm, while the operating system will probably be Android 9 Pie.
Price and camera details
According to PCMag India, the photographic sector should be based on a triple 48MP camera (Sony IMX586) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 13MP (tele, optical lossless 10x zoom), with Dual LED flash, while there will probably be only one 16MP pop-up sensor for the front.
However, the latter should support 2D facial recognition. The in-display fingerprint sensor and all the connectivity of the case should not be missing, from 4G LTE to Wi-Fi 802.11ac via NFC and Bluetooth 5.0. As for prices and availability, OnePlus 7 is expected to hit the market in May at around $650. OnePlus 7 will compete with Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 9 and iPhone X.
