The company has released some important details about its newest motorcycle. The new green two-wheeler is capable of a speed of up to 60 mph, in a just 3.5 seconds. It offers much simpler rides for everyone, especially for new riders, because it electric-powered and doesn’t require clutch or gears. The new LiveWire features high-quality Brembo brakes along with fully adjustable Showa suspension, traction control, cornering-enhanced anti-lock brakes, and Michelin sports tires.

The features don’t stop there, the new motorcycle also comes with the latest digital technology. In fact, it’s the world’s first mass-market mobile-connected electric motorcycle, according to the American company.

The new LiveWire comes with an LTE-enabled telematics system called H-D Connect. This telematics system allows a rider’s smartphone to access everything about the vehicle. These include data about bike’s operations, battery power status, trip planning, diagnostics, service reminders, and anti-theft notification features. Additionally, the system also alerts rider when someone is trying to mess with their rides.

The new motorcycle is also equipped with a new GPS tracking system, allowing the bike to track easily via a mobile app if someone manages to steal it.

According to the motorcycle company, the new bike will allow 110 miles of urban ride on a single battery charge. The new electric motorcycle is now available for pre-order ahead of its official August release, with deliveries coming later this year.

As expected by many, the new electric motorcycle comes with a hefty price tag, a whopping $29,799.

Harley adds two new prototypes

In addition to the new LiveWire, Harley Davidson also announced two new electric motorbike prototypes which the company called as the HD Electric Concept 2 (scooter) and the HD Electric Concept 1 (dirt bike). The crowd will get more about these three newly revealed all-electric motorcycles at the upcoming 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This is not the first time Harley Davidson has announced plans for multiple electric motorcycles. Last year, it showed off concept art for four new electric vehicles. These include an electric moped, an electric bicycle, a lightweight electric motorcycle, and an electric dirt bike.

The company has been working on its electric motorcycle development for at least four years, with a projected release date sometime this year. Again, these two new electric motorcycles are still in the prototype stage, so the specs are pretty scarce.
