20 years ago we couldn't even imagine how far our technologies would go. Ten years ago we dreamed about robots, that will do a lot of work for us. And now, in 2018 it's not just a dream, we haven't even realized when it became real. Here is a small list of different examples how do robots help people today.

1. Almost 90 percent of the US population owns a smart speaker

A Smart Speaker is a type of wireless and voice command device with an integrated artificial intelligence that offers interactive actions and handsfree activation with the help of one "hot word" (or several "hot words").

Some smart speakers can also act as a smart device that utilizes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other wireless protocol standards to extend usage beyond audio playback, such as to control home automation devices. This can include but is not be limited to, features such as compatibility across a number of services and platforms like smart-lights and smart-fridge. Indeed, smart speakers are extremely popular nowadays as well as helpful: you can ask your smart speaker to turn on the music, tell you about weather or traffic jams or to find out some information. Sometimes, smart speakers' acts even save people.

2. Robot-run farms have already taken place in Japan

In 2017 Japanese firm "Spread" opened first robot-run farm that can produce 30,000 heads of Lettuce per day.

The main idea of the company is to create Social, Economic and Environmental Sustainability and produce high-quality food in ecology-friendly ways.

Robots are used for Environmental Controls (Nutrient solution, photosynthesis, air conditioning, lighting) and to improve productivity with automated cultivation process, water recycling improvement, development of LEDs customized for vegetable cultivation.

"Spread" believes that automatization is our only way to equal and bright the future for our children and us.

This is not the only example how robots are used in the agriculture sphere. "Spread" is fully-robotic firm, but many agricultural companies in the US and Japan use robots partly. For example, in many firms drones are used to plant and harvest crops.

Some manufacturers of milk in the UK and the US use robots for feeding and nursing different animals, some special robots have an option for milking cows and spread in cow farms.

3. Medical robots not only help people, but they also cure people

Robots have extensive usage in different parts of medicine. For example, robot RIBA that was invented in Japan is used to lull and move sick or older adults. It is quite helpful because he can transfer patients from one place to another, or move them from a wheelchair to bed. Another way to rid nurses of routine work are robots from Murata Machinery Ltd and Panasonic, intended to deliver medicines from the pharmacy to the home of the sick person; one robot can take care for 400 people.

But not all robots are made for the simple tasks, many of them are used in surgery to analyze the state of health of the ill person. For example, nanorobots, with the size comparable to a molecule, are used to diagnose cancer on the initial stage, monitor of patients with diabetes or to cure blood disease. These examples are a small part of many, medical robots have even started to replace humans, but still, robots are our helpers and way to technological future, not competitors.
