Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship with a few improvements, accompanied by a slight price increase. That won’t come as much of a surprise to Samsung customers as they are accustomed to slight price increases with every new release as phones hit the $1000 high-point with the iPhone X. The Samsung S9 starts between $720 and $800 in pre-orders while the S9 Plus starts between $840 and $930.The price varies according to the distributor according to the Enquirer. Pre-orders start on March 1 and sales begin on March 16.

The phone is virtually bezel-free, similar to the Galaxy S8.

It is one of the nicest looking designs on the market and here they are keeping that same infinity display, but it's going to be about 15 percent brighter. Something else that carries over is the Headphone Jack. This is a flagship for 2018 which has a headphone jack, Samsung is keeping it around while pretty much everyone has abandoned it. Nevertheless, a lot of people still really do appreciate having a headphone jack. The speakers have been improved with a switch to stereo speakers. The Galaxy line has always had a mono speaker which made it feel inferior to the competition such as iPhones. On top of that, you're going to be getting Dolby Atmos surround sound so this works with the speakers as well as the headphone jack.

For normal stuff it's going to sound amazing.

Improvements from S8

Another improvement is the Fingerprint Sensor. After complaints by many tech reviewers about the Galaxy S8 as well as the note 8 fingerprint sensor location being unreachable, it has been moved below the camera like most similar devices.

The phone comes in three colors; black blue and pink.

It has USB C, IP 68 water resistance, and wireless charging the same as the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S9 has 4 GB RAM while Galaxy S9 plus has 6 GB.

The Samsung`s Bixby assistant has been improved with live text translation using google translate. It retains the same battery as the S8, that is a 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh for S9 and S9 plus respectively.

Improved camera

The S9 has the same camera as the S8, but with a new sensor. It has an adjustable aperture which helps in taking amazing photos in low light. It also has a super slow mode which can capture videos at 960 frames per second for a short time. It can also take 4k videos at 60 frames per second.

An emoji has been introduced which enables you to put your face on emoji’s and make an animated video.

There was no major difference between the Galaxy S8 and the S8 plus, however, that is not the case with the Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S9 is bigger, with a bigger battery and a telephoto camera together with the normal camera.
