The tech giant Apple's next tablet could be just months away. The company is likely to unveil its new iPad Pro 3 probably in mid- 2018, maybe in June 2018. Several rumors are rounding the internet and iPad lovers were so excited to experience the enhanced features compared to the previous version. Apple launched its original iPad Pro in November 2015, followed by the 9.7 inch Ipad Pro in March 2016 and then the iPad Pro 10.5 and iPad Pro 12.9 in June 2017. Here I present you some of the rumored specs and features of the new 2018 iPad Pro.

Design

With the launch of the iPhone X, Apple introduced to its users an edge-to-edge, nearly bezel-less display. So it may be a hint that the new device can have the same design language. It was also rumored that there may be a change in the home button. Apple ditched the physical home button for a pragmatic one that sports Force Touch technology. The company got rid of the physical button on its smartphone series beginning with the iPhone 7. So there is a possibility of Apple doing the same for its iPads.

Sources quoted by Bloomberg predict that the 2018 10.5-inch iPad Pro is most likely to debut without a home button. The statement also said that it sports a fingerprint scanner in the absence of the home button.

Apple is also likely to introduce Face ID to the tablet, replacing Touch ID so that it can act as the chief biometrics system for authentication. If it is to be believed, then this would mean that the company is advancing to adopt a distinct design for the next-generation iPad series.

Processor

Apple's iPads usually hold a modified version of the processor from the previous iPhone.

The previous iPads came out with an A10X Fusion and the smartphone iPhone 7 got an A10 Fusion chip. The preceding iPhone 8 and iPhone X both came with the A11 Bionic processor. As per the report of iMore, the upcoming tablet houses a slightly impressive A11X Bionic chipset, which is a modification of the A11 Bionic chip inside the iPhone X.

Other features and price

Some of the expected features could be USB-C standard for its devices. But Apple hasn’t shown any signs of sporting it. It’s possible that the new tablet could highlight wireless charging. The smartphone maker unveiled AirPods because it desires its users to enjoy a wireless audio streaming experience.

Whenever Apple launches its device, it is sure to have a high cost. The next-generation iPad Pro price is not known so far. But it is likely to cost at least $649.
