The highly anticipated Nokia 9 has been making the headlines for quite some time now. This time the upcoming Nokia handset is in the news for its specification details that have leaked online. A recently leaked Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing, captured by GSMArena, showed almost all the Nokia 9 key specs and features. The handset appeared in the filing with model number TA-1005.
Notably, the handset maker, HMD Global, has not yet revealed anything about the upcoming smartphone, but, the fact that the specs details appeared on the FCC website cannot be ignored.
Nokia 9 is expected to get a launch soon, possibly in January next month.
Handset to feature an OLED display panel
According to the leaked filing, the Nokia 9 specs list will include a 5.5-inch OLED display panel manufactured by LG, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC (System on a Chip) just like the Nokia 8 and a 3,250mAh battery with an 18W fast-charging support. Although the leaked document does not mention anything about the smart phone’s RAM capacity, the device is expected to support up to 128 GB of files. Details about the handset’s display resolution and aspect ratio also remain unavailable.

Dual-camera, Android 8.0 Oreo on board
As far as the camera is concerned, the Nokia 9 will reportedly follow the dual-camera trend that is found in almost all the present generation smartphones.
As per the filing, the handset will sport two 12 megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors on the rear and feature a 5-megapixel front-facing lens with a Chicony CKACE19 camera module. Surprisingly, the Nokia 8 features a whopping 13MP front camera. Software-wise, the upcoming Nokia handset will boot Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
January 2018 launch likely
An alleged render of the Nokia 9 was recently spotted on Chinese networking website Weibo. The image shows the phone featuring a bezel-less display. Rumors are that HMD Global might unveil the highly awaited Nokia 9 smartphone alongside an updated Nokia 6 variant, aka Nokia 6 (2018), at an event on January 19, 2018.
Currently, there's no information about the handset's pricing details.
