2017 is the year when nokia made their comeback in the smartphone market again. The company has launched smartphones like Nokia 8, Nokia 3 and Nokia 6. The Finnish company's first launch was the Nokia 6 which was sold out within few minutes after an online sale in China.The company is currently focusing on making Android devices. There are rumors floating around social media regarding the launch of Nokia 9 after the device was leaked online. The device is one of the most anticipated smartphones of this year. The Finnish tech giant will try to capture the high-end smartphone market share with the upcoming handset.
The leaks about Nokia 9
According to Deccan Chronical, The launch is looking imminent now as Amazon UK has listed protective cases for the alleged Nokia 9. One can also see the alleged Nokia 9 render in 3D which possibly suggests what the flagship (top-line) will look like. It is worth noting that the phone-making companies provide the dummy of the handset to the case makers before the official launch of the device.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone might sport a USB-C Type. The handset might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which will possibly be the faster chip by the Qualcomm.
The expected specs and features
The renders indicate that the Nokia 9 might feature edge-to-edge display and a dual camera setup.
The screen of the high-end smartphone is expected to come with curved edges. The camera on the phone is at the top and is placed vertically with an LED flash featured to the right of the camera. For security, it will have a fingerprint sensor. The flagship might look like the Galaxy S8 which also has an edge-to-edge display.
According to NokiaPowerUser, Nokia 9 will have two RAM options, 6GB/8GB with 128GB ROM. The upcoming phone will be IP68 certified which means it will be water and dust resistant. The handset could be powered by a 4000 mAh battery.
The protective cases of the leaked smartphone will available in six colors. Nokia 9 will rival the other top-notch devices like, samsung galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, Apple Iphone X, and Apple iPhone 8.
It will be interesting to see how the phone will fare against these heavyweights. The release of the phone is not confirmed by the company but it is speculated that it will unveil it at the MWC 2018.
