Vivo is currently working towards developing a full-screen smartphone. The company has already given a glimpse of the handset to its fans in August. The device-in-question is called the “Vivo X20,” and it has already been certified by TENAA.

Vivo is expected to unveil its smartphone in October. According to a report by GSMArena, the smartphone has now been leaked in the form of several live images online. The phone might be available in the US by the end of the October.

Snapdragon 660 and Nougat-powered phone

The listing posted online suggests that the Vivo X20 is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 system-on-chip along with Adreno 512 for graphics.

The handset will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out-of-the-box.

The leaked images showcase the “About Phone” section of the alleged X20. One of the main reasons why one could possibly believe this information is true is because of the handset’s name, IMEI. The number, MEID, and CMT ID has also been revealed.

Another thing that has been confirmed through the leak is that the handset will carry the latest August security patch as well.

Along with Android Nougat, the smartphone will pack Vivo’s FunTouch OS, noted Slash Leaks.

What to expect from the upcoming smartphone

According to a report by Android Headlines, the Vivo X20 is going to pack extremely thin bezels. The handset is expected to have a 5.2-inch Full HD display along with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

On the storage front, the smartphone will either offer 4GB or 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt memory.

Whether the handset will come with an additional option of expanding the smartphone’s memory via its microSD card slot or not, is something that hasn’t been established as of yet.

Speculations mentioned by Android Headlines also claim that the handset is set to pack a dual-rear camera setup with the front camera featuring a whopping 24-megapixel sensor.

When the handset was spotted on the official TENAA website, it was revealed that the Vivo X20 will don a metal unibody design. The antenna bands are located on the bottom portion. The fingerprint scanning feature will be located on its rear panel, right next to the camera module. Vivo is also expected to debut another handset with similar specifications, but this one will sport a larger display – possibly 5.5-inches.

The pricing and availability details of Vivo X20 haven’t been confirmed by any of the sources as of yet. Customers have to wait a bit more for the phone.
