HMD Global-backed nokia was on a smartphone-launching spree since the beginning of this year. After taking care of the mid-range segment with the introduction of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, the firm unveiled Nokia 8, their first high-end handset. According to a report by Android Headlines, they are now speculated to expand the high-end category with the launch of Nokia 9. While the firm hasn’t provided any official confirmation regarding this, a YouTube user named “Concept Creator,” has envisioned the smartphone in his latest video. The phone will also be available in the US market.

A sleek design smartphone

The video posted by “Concept Creator” on Thursday, 6 September consists of a handset that has extremely thin bezels on the top and bottom region and no bezels on the sides of the front panel. It is also interesting to note that the handset is slightly curved towards its edges. This characteristic is common on Nokia-branded smartphones. On the basis of this, it is safe to assume that the handset will be protected by a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone in the video does not feature any physical buttons on the front. The visualizer assumed that Nokia 9 will feature an under-the-display fingerprint scanner. The power button, along with the volume up/down option is located on the right-hand side of the device.

Camera features Carl Zeiss technology

The smartphone in the video packs a dual rear camera setup places vertically. The module is powered by Carl Zeiss technology and is further accompanied by a dual-LED flash and tone. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present on the top of the handset. Nokia 9 seems to be carrying the Type-C USB port on the bottom, right next to the speaker grill.

The smartphone also carries the official Nokia branding on the rear panel. As there is also a microSD card-slot option available, users will be able to expand its memory. The handset in the video does not feature a physical home button – so we are led to believe that the smartphone will equip facial recognition technology. The video showed off five primary color options of the handset, namely Cyan, Black, Red, Gray, and Blue.

Needless to say, the company hasn’t made any mention of the existence of Nokia 9 yet. They are currently working towards updating its smartphones with the latest Android Oreo software. If there is a Nokia 9 in the offing, it will probably debut towards the end of this year.
