When Apple unveiled its latest iPhones, the tech company did not reveal the smartphones’ battery capacity. However, TENAA (China's wireless authority that certifies handsets) made it known that the battery sizes of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are smaller compared to iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

TENNA’s product listing revealed that the iPhone 8 would feature a 1,821 mAh battery, while the larger variant is equipped with a 2,675 mAh battery, according to MacRumors. There’s a possibility that the battery life of the new iPhones will be the same with the current variants.

However, Apple's new devices might still have longer battery life than their predecessors, thanks to the tech company’s latest A11 Bionic processor. While the new chipset is more power efficient, it is also more powerful compared to its predecessor. According to Tech Crunch, Apple’s latest system on chip (SoC) features 4 high-efficiency cores and two performance cores.

The new processor will allow the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X, to feature augmented reality technology. Several Apple enthusiasts might be disappointed with the battery capacity of the new iPhone 8 devices, but the handsets’ wireless charging and fast charging features might be enough to entice them.
