IFA (Berlin) concluded on August 3, and the event was action-packed and witnessed the launch of several big smartphones. Huawei was in the group of companies to announce the launch date of its flagship, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. The company also apparently said that they plan on adding its next installation to the V-series. According to a report by Gizmochina, the firm plans on unveiling the V10 soon. A source close to the matter states that the device will come with support for AI capabilities.
Honor's upcoming devices will carry Kirin 970
According to Android Pit, Honor President George Zhao said that all of the company’s upcoming products will be fueled by the latest Kirin 970 processor.
Therefore, it is safe to assume that the V10 will have the yet to be announced processor onboard. It makes sense for the V10 to pack the Kirin 970 because its predecessor featured the 960 SoC. Huawei-backed Honor announced the V9 in February of this year. They named its international variant the Honor 8 Pro.
Everything you need to know regarding the company's upcoming device
The company is expected to follow the same timeline and launch the V10 in February 2018. Huawei announced the Kirin 970 at IFA (Berlin). According to them, the processor runs on a 10nm manufacturing process. It carries 12-core GPU for graphics and Cat.18 4G LTE. Any device that will be powered by a Kirin 970 will output a faster and more efficient performance.
The battery-saving ability on this one is pretty powerful as well.
According to a report by Android Headlines, the company is also scheduled to bring its Mate 10 smartphone to the table. The site confirmed that the company will take the wraps off it on October 16. The recent report by Android Police carries alleged images showcasing the Mate 10.
Citing information from two websites, OnLeaks and CompareRaja, the publication claims that the smartphone will measure 150.2 x 77.5 x 8.4mm.
Honor, it appears, has decided to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint scanning feature will be placed on its rear panel, right next to the camera module. The picture of the device’s front panel will apparently come with slimmer bezels.
The report claims the device is carrying a 5.9-inch display, but the information hasn’t be confirmed by the company as of yet. Huawei CEO Richard Yu gave a direct challenge to Apple by stating that the Mate 10 will easily take on the 10th-anniversary iPhone device.
