Apple will hold an event on September 12 at the iconic Steve Jobs Theater in California. The event will witness the launch of a number of Apple products. It's the 10-year-anniversary of the launch of the iPhone and the company will introduce a special edition smartphone to mark the occasion. While this will be the big launch of 12 September, there are many other products that will receive an equal amount of attention. The phone will compete with Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8.

iPhone Edition or iPhone X

There are a couple of rumored names given to the next-gen iPhone device.

According to a report by Tech Radar, some call it, “iPhone Edition,” while others refer to it as either “iPhone X,” or simply “iPhone 8.” The device is going to consist of significant enhancements in terms of design and features. Prevailing leaks have suggested that the smartphone might carry a 5.8-inch AMOLED bezel-less display.

On the processor front, it might feature A11 chipset. The smartphone will come packed with facial recognition technology in place of Touch ID, and a dual rear camera setup with 3D capabilities. With features like these, the price of the handset will certainly go up to $1,000 at least.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

The company is expected to launch not one, but three smartphones.

The list will also include iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the successors to last year’s 7 and 7 Plus. These devices will also have several upgrades in terms of their display, camera, and design. The firm is also rumored to introduce newer color variants this year. They might also refresh the AirPods line-up, however, these might come with minor updates.

Third-generation Watch

It goes without saying that the Cupertino giant will also renew its Watch line-up. But the Watch 3 is probably going to include a limited upgrade. Its major highlight will be the support for LTE networks. This is going to allow users to make and receive calls without having to connect the smart wearable to an iPhone device.

There might also be a FaceTime calling ability included on the smartwatch.

4K TV

Apple has been wanting to refresh its TV lineup for a long time. They might finally do so, this year. If all the speculation turns out to be fact, then they are planning on launching a 4K Tv this time around. The majority of the company’s own TV shows such as “Planet of the Apps,” will also appear on their setup boxes. The long wait for tech enthusiasts is nearly over.
