Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is confirmed to launch on August 23. According to Weibo tipster Reviewer, the Galaxy Note 8 will be available in eight color variants, which include Coral Blue, Dark Blue, Pink, Gold, Orchid Gray/Violet, Arctic Silver, Midnight Black and Deep-Sea Blue. The Weibo tipster has published the images of each color options, which also reveals the rear of the device by exposing the Dual Camera mechanism. In addition to the new color variants, the original wallpapers of the Galaxy Note 8 have also been leaked simultaneously on Weibo and Samsungvgn.com.

Dual camera

As rumored previously, the Galaxy Note 8 will be the first Samsung-branded phone to ship with the dual camera. Although there are eight different color options, the front panel comprises of the Black color. However, the S Pen stylus will match the color of the smartphone. Talking about the wallpapers, the Vietnam-based Samsungvgn has leaked six colorful wallpapers, which showcases lakes, mountains, and clouds.

Live images leaked

Meanwhile, the live pictures of the phone have also been leaked via SlashLeaks, which exposes the device from all possible angles including the S Pen stylus. The leaked renders clearly reveal the presence of the dual camera, glass back, and bezel-less display.

Even though the S Pen looks same as in the previous leaks, the touch sensitivity has been improved significantly. Moreover, the company has changed the dimensions of the stylus marginally.

Addition of 256GB storage

Recently, the popular Twitter-based tipster Roland Quandt revealed that the upcoming Note 8 would also be available in 256GB storage.

It remains to be seen as to whether the 256GB model will be available in all markets or only in South Korea. There are reports that Samsung will infuse 8GB RAM into the premium storage model.

According to ETNews, the Galaxy Note 8 will also ship with a free, transparent case, which will be bundled inside the product box in select markets.

It has been confirmed that the case will not be included with the shipments to the US, Russia, and Europe. We expect the case will be included only in the Korea region to attract customers.

Specifications

Specifications wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will feature a 6.3-inch QHD Infinity Display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB expandable internal storage powered by a 3300mAh battery. The company is expected to ship the phone with Exynos 8895 processor in rest of the markets. Moreover, the phone will be infused with Android Nougat upgradeable to Android O, which throw open access to a wide range of features.

The attraction of the Note 8 will be the integration of a dual camera consisting of 12MP sensors each with f/1.7 and f/2.4 aperture respectively.

While the primary camera provides support for dual-pixel autofocus, the other camera includes 2x optical zoom capability with support for optical image stabilization.

With support for wireless charging, the Note 8 also comes with a fingerprint scanner. Samsung will start shipping the phone in September initially in Europe at EUR 1000, which equates to $1175.
