The launch of the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 phablet is just around the corner. However, the smartphone’s latest leak revealed its 256GB variant. The 256GB version of the Galaxy Note 8 will come along with some premium features.

The South Korean tech titan is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 along with the new GearVR headset and Gear Fit2 Pro fitness band at the Unpacked event in New York. However, a promotional material of the smartphone has surfaced on the web. The image of the promotional material, which was posted by GSM Arena, seems to showcase the 256GB version.

Nonetheless, the latest leaked information that was discovered on Samsung’s website also revealed the unlocked model (UZKAXAA). Although the product link appears to be inactive, it unveiled very little information. The tech giant is reportedly offering coupons for the 64GB variant with KRW 100,000 or $88 discount on accessories, such as the Gear VR.

Specs of the smartphone

The Galaxy Note 8 will arrive with a 6.3-inch QHD Infinity Display with 1440 x 2960 pixel resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor will be available in the United States, while the Note 8 with an Exynos 8895 SoC will be up for grabs in other countries.

Camera specs

On the camera front, the smartphone will boast a dual camera setup, consisting of 12MP sensors, according to The Inquirer.

The primary wide-angle lens will feature a dual-pixel autofocus and a f/1.7 aperture, while the second sensor will arrive with a f/2.4 aperture. Both sensors are anticipated to feature optical image stabilization. Meanwhile, the front camera will feature an 8MP.

In terms of connectivity, the mobile device will be equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C charging port.

The handset will come with an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The smartphone will also feature a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support.

The smartphone will run on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box. The device will be available in different color options - Deep Sea Blue, Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Gray.

The tech company is expected to integrate Bixby personal assistant in the upcoming smartphone. The handset will also be available with a fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and an S-Pen

As for the release date, pre-order kicks off on August 24 and the mobile device will be available on September 15.
