Leaks of the upcoming Samsung phablet, Galaxy Note 8, and Apple’s iPhone 8 have been numerous in the past few months. The rumors have picked up pace of late since the supposed launch date of the iPhone 8 and the Galaxy Note 8 draws near. Both Samsung and Apple have remained silent on the specs and features their respective devices will boast, but a new Leaked Render seems to show the front panels of both the iPhone 8 and the Galaxy Note 8, giving fans a better idea of how the two devices will compare to each other in terms of the size and display features.

Front panels leaked in render

Android Soul spotted the front panels of two devices side-by-side on Weibo and these are alleged to belong to the Galaxy Note 8 and the iPhone 8. The bezel-less design on a Samsung phone debuted in the Galaxy S8 series, and will be identical to the screen to body ratio in the upcoming flagship from the South Korean company this year.

On the other hand, Apple is expected to revolutionize the design of its mobile phone this year with the iPhone 8. The smartphone is expected to boast a larger screen, which can be seen in the leaked picture. This time around the iPhone 8 is also rumored to sport a bezel-less display, similar to its upcoming rival Galaxy Note 8. The render shows that the handset will indeed come with almost no bezels and an edge-to-edge display.

Another aspect of the two handsets which are highlighted through the renders is the difference in size. The phablet from Samsung sports a much larger display than that of the iPhone 8, which is to be expected since the Apple flagship is a smartphone and not a phablet. However, it remains to be seen whether the apparent size difference can lead to one of the handsets dominating the market.

Earlier rumors regarding of the upcoming flagships from Apple and Samsung

Being the most-awaited handsets from their respective companies, there have been several rumors regarding the two devices. For instance, the Samsung phablet is expected to sport the same Infinity display that Samsung debuted in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ earlier in the year.

The phablet is also expected to boast the Exynos 8895 chipset or the Snapdragon 835 SoC, depending on the region. The device may include 6 GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Apple flagship may sport a 5.7-inch display and a dual camera setup on the back. Rumors have also indicated that the iPhone 8 will come with a 3D facial recognition software.
