With the major brands of mobile devices in the market, the Huawei company is slowly surfacing as one of the top handset brands in the smartphone industry. The Chinese tech company is famous in launching cheaper mobile devices, such as its Huawei Mate 9. Now, the tech giant appears to roll out Mate 9’s more evolved concept, the Mate 10.

After the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro Android smartphones were well-received by tech enthusiasts, the Chinese tech giant is preparing to launch a new member of its Mate series, dubbed as the Huawei Mate 10. The tech company even shared the upcoming handset’s very first official teaser video.

Based on the video, GSM Arena reported that the Mate 10 will be available with a Leica-branded dual rear camera setup.

Just like its predecessor, the Huawei Mate 10 will come along with a 20MP monochrome camera and a 12MP color sensor. Considering the Mate 9’s camera did not blow smartphone fans away, the tech giant is expected to improve the new handset’s image quality.

Handset’s specs

However, the upcoming mobile device will be powered by the 10-nm HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. The Kirin 970 processor is designed to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC and Exynos 8895 processor. The handset will arrive with a Mali G71MP12 GPU. The device will further come packed with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.

The Huawei Mate 10 is expected to sport a 6-inch Quad HD EntireView display with 2,160 × 1,080 pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The mobile device is anticipated to be equipped with a facial recognition, a 3D sensor, and an AR support. The handset will come along with a 4000mAh battery.

Release date of the device

With the tech company offering a discounted price on its Huawei Mate 9 smartphone, it could indicate the Mate 10’s imminent launch, Gizbot reported.

Although the company did not make any official announcement, rumor has it that Huawei will be hosting an event in Munich, Germany on Oct. 16. Wherein, the company is expected to unveil its latest mobile device.

A promotional image for the tech giant’s event promises that smartphone enthusiasts will meet the handset worth waiting for.

Also, a huge number 10 was spotted in the background, which seems to indicate the Mate 10 smartphone.

In terms of the price, smartphone fans are hoping that the company will drop the price back down for its latest Android smartphone, considering its predecessor has a $599.99 price tag.
