Huawei seems to be all set to roll out its flagship smartphone, Huawei Mate 10, this September or October. However, before the official release, the device’s image renders managed to make its way onto the internet. If Weibo’s leaked render is anything to go by, Huawei’s upcoming smartphone appears to be no different to other flagship devices.
The Chinese website, Weibo, provided the renders of Huawei’s highly anticipated handset. Based on the renders, the Huawei Mate 10 Android smartphone seems to feature a display design that resembles the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus handsets.
Smartphone with thin bezels
The renders revealed that the Huawei Mate 10 will have incredibly thin bezels. The device is expected to arrive with a 6.1-inch QHD screen resolution with 486ppi pixel density. The smartphone is also anticipated to boast an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Huawei Mate 10 smartphone will be available with a dual camera setup with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an LED flash.
The renders clearly show that Huawei Mate 10’s dual-camera has a Leica branding. Aside from that Leica has collaborated with Huawei since last year. The German company is best known for manufacturing cameras and lenses. Huawei also utilized the German company’s lenses for its 2017 Huawei P10 handset.
The inclusion of Leica lenses suggests that the dual camera system of Mate 10 smartphone will feature a significant improvement on its predecessor.
Specs of the device
According to Android Church, the handset is expected to be powered by a Kirin 970 system on chip (SoC), as the processor will become available by the time the smartphone rolls out.
The smartphone’s chipset will be manufactured utilizing a 10nm process and will be clocked at 2.8GHz. The Kirin 970 processor is expected to be coupled with 6GB of RAM and a 64GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card. However, the tech company might launch an 8GB of RAM variant of the handset.
In terms of the handset’s operating system, the device will come pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s custom skin EMUI.
The mobile device will come along with a 4000+ mAh battery with fast charging support.
The smartphone will be available with a USB Type C port, but there is still no word regarding the 3.5mm headphone jack. The speaker grill of the handset is located at the bottom. On the downside, the smartphone is expected to be priced at more than $1000.
