Anyone who is a fan of unconventional gadgets, they should know about the Sony Xperia series. Now the fans are delicately waiting for the successor of Xperia XZ smartphone and the new iteration is called Xperia XZ1. Two days ago, the flagship device was revealed in full 3D renders and a 360-degree video. From that video, it is very clear that the Xperia XZ1 would like to continue the same straight, square frame with curved sides as seen on the previous XZ devices, instead of an upcoming bezel-less design. Exterior Design
In terms of body design, the Sony Xperia XZ1 is thinner than previous XZ smartphone, which is 8.2mm. The device will sport with 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive type touch screen display at 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. In addition, Xperia XZ1 will also offer Corning Gorilla Glass, but the version is not specified yet. The video also suggests the phone would sport with an attractive pale metallic blue color variant but still, it is very difficult to guess the exterior design of Xperia XZ1.
Connectivity
According to rumors, Xperia XZ1 would feature with USB type-C connectivity for charging and data transfer. It has also a flat, side mounted power button that may also double as a finger print scanner.
In the renders, the volume up and down button, a 3.5 mm headphone jack with dual front-facing stereo speakers and a dedicated camera button on the right side can easily be seen.
Processor, RAM, and Storage
To boost up the performance, the Sony Xperia XZ1 is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM.
It also offers a significant amount of storage, 64GB internal storage and can be extended via Micro SD up to 128GB.
Camera, Platform, and Battery
Sony Xperia XZ1 could house a 19MP rear camera with 4k video recording capability and a 12 MP front- facing camera. It is rumored that it can also shoot 960 fps slow motion video. The upcoming Sony flagship indicates that the smartphone will run on the latest version of Android 8.0 that means Android O.
This newly announced device will be able to deliver a good backup with 3000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.
The expectation is high enough among users, the live image attracts the people. However, the price and availability have not been disclosed yet but Sony has yet to confirm this device. It is expected to make its first appearance in September IFA 2017.
