After Huawei Mate 10’s teaser video earlier this week, the Chinese tech titan’s official Twitter account posted a new teaser photo of the Android smartphone that will join Huawei’s lineup of Leica-branded dual camera mobile devices. The upcoming smartphone can be spotted alongside the company’s Mate 9, P9 and P10 handsets, all of which boasts a dual rear camera setup. The teaser image also confirms that the tech company will unveil the Huawei Mate 10 smartphone on October 16.

According to India Today, the teaser image did not only confirm the Android smartphone to feature a Leica-branded lenses, but also showcased the exact position of the camera setup on the back.

The Huawei Mate 10 handset features a rear vertical setup near the center.

Camera front

In terms of the camera specs, the recent video teaser of the Huawei Mate 10 smartphone showcased the captured images of the handset highlighting Bokeh effects and color contrasts. The video also seems to confirm that the handset will arrive with a 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor.

The Chinese tech giant has already teased that its upcoming mobile device will come along with a bezel-less, EntireView and a 2K resolution display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which would pit the smartphone against Samsung’s Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, LG G6 and the highly anticipated Apple iPhone 8. The handset will boast a 6.3-inch QHD display with 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution.

Aside from that, the smartphone is expected to come with a 3D sensing, facial recognition and an augmented reality (AR) support.

Device with Kirin 970 processor

It is worth noting that the Huawei Mate 10 will probably be the first handset to ship with the tech giant’s all-new Kirin 970 system on chip (SoC), which will be introduced at the IFA 2017 event, Newsient reported.

There’s a possibility that the company will manage to pre-install the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system on its forthcoming mobile device, but some reports are claiming that the handset will run on Android Nougat OS out of the box.

Although the tech company has yet to announce the official release date of its latest smartphone in the United States, it appears that the coming months will be quite busy when it comes to smartphone releases.

Wherein, LG is expected to reveal its V30 Android smartphone at the end of the month. Apple will potentially show off its 10th anniversary iPhone in September, while Google's next-gen Pixel mobile devices is anticipated to arrive in October.
