Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy Note 8 phablet on August 23, at its ‘Unpacked’ event. Just ahead of the launch, the device seems to have surfaced on Samsung’s US website for a brief Period Of Time, before being taken off. The listing pretty much revealed all the information there is to know about the Galaxy Note 8 device. These leaks are assumed to be more authentic in comparison to the previous ones. The previous model of Note series smartphone caused losses to the company. The phablet will be in competition with Apple's upcoming phone, iPhone 8 Plus.

Things reports suggest

According to what Android Central has to report, in the listing posted on Samsung’s website for a brief period of time, the device was shown as being black in color. This is what it should ideally be showing as the smartphone hasn’t been showcased in multiple color options. Therefore, as pointed by Android Headlines, it is probably safe to assume that Samsung might introduce only one color variant at first, followed by the rest later. Leaks also suggest the dual-camera setup.

Price, specs, features and launch details

The pricing details weren’t mentioned in the listing. However, the users were provided with the option of viewing the smartphone from all angles – which is a bumper bonus as through this, primary specifications of Galaxy Note 8 have been shown.

For example, the existence of the dual rear camera has been confirmed.

Apart from this, Galaxy Note 8 will be accompanied by the company’s S Pen. The device, similar to its siblings, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, will be carrying both Infinity Display as well as the Bixby digital assistant software. For connectivity, it is expected to come with the USB-C Type.

The phablet could also mark the edge-to-edge display according to the leaks.

The listing further revealed that the smartphone will offer 64GB of internal storage. It seems like Samsung might do away with 16GB and 32GB storage models, and directly begin with 64GB of storage as its base model. The handset is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip.

It is worth mentioning that the smartphone has been listed as coming ‘unlocked.’

There are rumors that indicate that the pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will begin right after the unveiling event. The smartphones, however, won’t be shipped before mid-September. The Note 8 is expected to be priced at around $850. Stay tuned for more news, rumors, and updates on technology.
