Samsung earlier this month pretty much confirmed the launch-date of its highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. The South-Korean technology giant suggested that the upcoming high-end smartphone by Samsung will see the light of the day on 23rd August at the company’s scheduled ‘Unpacked’ event. Given that the launch-date of the upcoming device is out of the way, the rumor-mill regarding its specifications and other details is churning faster than ever before.

Color options with the smartphone

The recent bunch of leaks has revealed the possible color variants that the upcoming smartphone will come featuring.

The latest leak suggests that the upcoming smartphone is going to come packed in eight possible color variants. The posting was made on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo and confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will come in eight different color variants including Midnight Black, Gold, Artic Silver, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue, Dark Blue, Pink and Deep Sea Blue.

Previously, it had been rumored that Samsung was planning on adding multiple color variants in its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone — however, exactly how many weren't specified. There is also a possibility that all of these color variants won’t be introduced at the same. Four primary color variants will be seen being unveiled at the launch-event, with others to follow up soon enough.

Several reports also suggested that the smartphone will come in the same color variants as the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. As can be recalled, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones were introduced in the following color variants: Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue and (Maple) Gold color variants. At that time, it was rumored that Samsung might also be added special Dark Blue, Pink, and Deep Sea Blue colors to its collection — however, that clearly did not take place.

Specs and features of the device

As far as the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone are concerned, the device is expected to pack a 6.3-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. The smartphone is further expected to be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip or the Exynos 8895 system-on-chip.

There is a possibility that the device might end up appearing in both the variants. On the storage front, the smartphone is expected to offer 6GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage as well. Furthermore, the smartphone will possibly come with a dual rear camera setup, with two 13-megapixel sensors and an 8-megapixel front shooter. The smartphone will probably run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
