Asus has officially taken the wraps off its ZenFone 4 Series of smartphones. The latest line-up consists of four Android-powered smartphones, including ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro. The Zenfone 4 Selfie line-up equips a dual front camera setup; while the ZenFone 4 lineup sports a dual rear camera setup. The said smartphone series is considered to be Asus’ flagship offering, the rest fall in the mid-range category and compete with OnePlus 5 and Samsung Galaxy J7 and other same category devices.

Specs and features of the phone

The main factors that all the four smartphones have in common are the fact that they are dual-SIM enabled and also, they sport a similar design and built.

As reported by Gadgets 360, all the four devices are built using a strong aluminum material and are perfected through the means of diamond-cut edges. All four of the smartphones carry the fingerprint scanner embedded below the physical home button. The devices also come carrying a dual speaker design, placed on the bottom. Like mentioned previously, the upcoming smartphones feature a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 image sensor, that is ‘Dual Pixel’ by nature along with a 1.4-micron pixel. The camera setup is further accompanied by PDAF, OIS, EID and RGB sensors. The secondary rear sensor consists of the phone features an 8-megapixel sensor, while the Zenfone 4 Pro features a 16-megapixel Sony sensor.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

Asus launched its said smartphones series in two variants – one that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, and offers 4GB of RAM, while the other that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, and packs 6GB of RAM. Users have the option of expanding their memories via the microSD card slot option by up to 128GB.

The ZenFone 4 houses a 3,300mAh battery, while the ZenFone 4 Pro comes with a 3,600mAh battery. Connectivity options on all the four smartphones are the same. All the four devices include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, USB Type-C, FM radio, and 3.5mm audio jack. Additional features such as proximity sensors, digital compass, gyroscope and light sensor are also present in all the smartphones.

The smartphones start at a price of $399 and go on till a maximum rate of $599. The shipping date of the said smartphone series is still not known yet. Stay tuned for more technology news, rumors and updates.
