Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) next month, at a starting price of $1,000. Major speculations regarding the device have already made it online, thereby giving the fans a vague idea of what can be expected from the flagship smartphone. There is immense pressure on Apple to surpass the fan’s expectations in terms of design as well as specifications of the iPhone 8, as the device-manufacturer completes 10 years with its iPhone flagship, and thus is expected to commemorate the occasion with the former. Apart from this, the company is also expected to launch its iPhone 7S and 7S Plus smartphone alongside the former at its annual September event.

Design of the smartphone

Apple is heavily-speculated to make its iPhone 8 smartphone extra-special this year. The design of the device will play a key role in establishing the desired impression that Apple wants to place upon its fans. There are numerous sources close to the matter that suggest that the Cupertino-based giant is planning on integrating a glass built especially on the rear panel of the smartphone. Since the device is also expected to pack a dual rear setup – the rear panel will also look exponentially different. If reports are believed to be true, then the dual rear camera setup will be placed horizontally onto the smartphone.

Apple recently launched its smart-home speakers, HomePod and with it came a couple of hints that suggested that the possible key features of the flagship device as well.

The former comes packed with a feature that suggests that the upcoming device might sport biometric technology. This rumor falls in line with other prevailing rumors that suggested that the smartphone will come equipped with a rear-facing 3D face scanner. This is apparently also one of the many reasons as to why Apple might end up delaying the launch of its flagship smartphone by two to three months.

The device also seems to pack a bezel-less design, as per many of the press renders and concept-based art work.

Powered by A11 chipset

As far as the internal specifications, the iPhone 8 is going to be powered by the latest A11 chipset, and will run on the recently-introduced iOS 11 software operating system update.
