Xiaomi’s new mobile device was spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench. The benchmark listing made it known that the handset will be available with better and improved central processing unit (CPU) and RAM. While the predecessor is available with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and a 4GB of RAM, the successor will be available with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with a 6GB of RAM.
While the original smartphone has not yet received the Android 7.1.1 Nougat mobile operating system, the upcoming smartphone will boast the latest Android Nougat update out of the box. Not only that, the benchmark result revealed that the smartphone scored 1929 points in the single-core test and 6431 points in the multi-core test.
Smartphone’s amazing camera specs
Nonetheless, the huge upgrade of the new smartphone over its predecessor is on the camera front. The handset is expected to arrive with a 19MP rear snapper and a 13MP front shooter. The screen to body ratio of the successor will be better than the original device. While the Mi Mix has 91.3, the successor is expected to come with above 93 percent. Also, the soon to be launched smartphone will have a 128GB and 256GB storage configurations.
As for the release date, the tech company is expected to announce the mobile device in October and will probably launch it in November. But, the tech giant is yet to announce the smartphone’s official release date soon.
