Samsung is likely following the Note 7 launch cycle for the next-gen Note 8. Therefore, it can be safely assumed that we are less than a couple of months away from the launch of the new phablet. Providing that this assumption is valid, the final design of the Note 8 has been already finalized, and Samsung is getting ready to enter the mass production stage of its new smartphone.

While the specific design of the handset will not be known for sure till Samsung unveils its products, many schematics, and press renders have leaked online displaying what the phone might look like.

Many of these rumors are in line with each other, and the latest leak courtesy Slashleaks does not differ much from the previously leaked Galaxy Note 8 images.

New images leak online: what do they reveal?

The renders shared by Slashleaks are by far the best representation of the upcoming phablet. This year of one may have noticed all Galaxy smartphones are almost of the same size and armed with the edge-to-edge Infinity Display. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have massive screens, and according to the images leaked by Slashleaks, the Note 8 is also one huge smartphone, which will be making its debut.

A couple of weeks back, popular case manufacturer Olixar had put up three types of its protective cases made for the Note 8 on sale on MobileFun’s website for preorder.

The latest images leaked by Slashleaks are in line with the Olixar cover cases. The leaked images show that the massive Infinity Display of the upcoming phablet will be covering an even larger percentage of the front display compared to either the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+.

The larger display is in line with many previous rumors, which stated that the screen of Note 8 would be 0.6-inches bigger than the display of its defunct predecessor.

Speculations are rife that the upcoming phablet will sport an enormous 6.3-inch display compared to the 5.7-inch on the older iteration.

Note 8 to directly rival iPhone 8?

Although the screen size of the Note 8 will be bigger than the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the phablet will sport the same aspect ratio of 19.5:9 seen in the flagship Samsung smartphones.

This aspect ratio is not only favorable for viewing movies and videos but also renders a better single-handed hold on the smartphone. Apart from these, it is surprising to see the company push its boundaries by allegedly producing the largest Samsung phone ever. It is rumored that the device will be directly competing with Apple’s tenth-anniversary special edition smartphone iPhone 8.
