Nubia took the wraps off its mid-range Z17 smartphone back in June this year. At the time of the launch, the smartphone was only made available in four color options including Aurora Blue, Obsidian Black, Solar Gold, Black Gold. A fifth color i.e. ‘Flame Red’ was announced too. However, the smartphone wasn’t made available for purchase with the others. It seems like the long wait is finally over for all those fans who were looking to buy the exciting bright-colored variant of the Nubia Z17 smartphone. The company took to the online platform to announce that the Nubia Z17 smartphone will be made available for purchase in a bright Flame Red Color variant, starting first of August, 2017.
Specs and features
According to several reports, the upcoming mid-range Nubia Z17 smartphone will be available in the Flame Red color variant only in a special 6GB RAM version. The same color won’t be available for purchase in an 8GB RAM version. As far as the specifications of the upcoming smartphone are concerned, the Nubia Z17 packs up a 5.5-inch full HD display with a pixel resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. The smartphone is further powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip. The handset is home to a 3,200mAh battery and runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. On the camera front, the Nubia Z17 smartphone packs up a dual rear camera system with two 12-megapixel sensors along with a 16-megapixel front snapper as well.
The smartphone is also accompanied with a special Quick Charge 4.0 technology that allows the smartphone to be charged instantaneously.
Price of the device
As far as the pricing details of the Nubia Z17 smartphone is concerned, the handset that packs 6GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internals storage comes at the cost of $415; meanwhile, the 6GB of RAM alongside 128GB of internal storage comes at a price of $505.
The company also bundles up special Nubia earphones with the purchase of each device. Since it's a mid-range category regarding pricing but a high-end smartphone regarding specifications, the device falls in direct competition with the OnePlus 5 smartphone. The latter was introduced earlier this year and since then, has been winning a lot of hearts.
