Lenovo-backed Motorola is apparently working towards the launch of its latest Android-based smartphone called Moto X4. The device’s specifications have been comprehensively leaked on many occasions in the recent past. However, none of them indicated anything special as such.

Now, a new report suggests that the Moto X4 smartphone is going to arrive with a dual Rear Camera setup. Moreover, the smartphone will be sporting a curved screen display and will also come with water-resistance capability — a feature that even Nokia’s 6 smartphone lacks.

What leaks suggest?

Proficient leaker Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) recently shared alleged images of the upcoming Moto X4 smartphone. According to the information that can be interpreted from the images, the Moto X4 is seen sporting a round-shaped camera panel. The camera sensors further equip a dual rear camera setup with two individual sensors further complimented by a LED flash. Furthermore, added reports from VentureBeat have further indicated that the upcoming smartphone is going to be carrying IP68 Water Resistance abilities as well. If this turns out to be true then Motorola sure is experimenting in a field that it has not entered before.

The firm attempted at pulling off such a deed with last year’s Moto Z, however much to its disappointment, the firm failed to gain the expected recognition.

The firm since then has been focusing on working up their Moto Mods that can enhance the Moto smartphones’ capabilities. Apart from this, as per a CNET report, the Moto X smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 chip-set. The device will also be housing a decent 3,000mAh battery. Camera wise, it was previously reported that the Moto X smartphone is going to sport 8MP and 12MP dual rear sensors along with a 16MP sensor on the front.

Moto X specs and features

As per rumors, the Moto X smartphone will most possibly feature a 5.2-inch display (Full-HD resolution) with Gorilla Glass cover. The smartphone will pack a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. On the storage front, the smartphone is expected to offer 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded via its microSD card.

The smartphone will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. Motorola is expected to take the wraps off its Moto X smartphone by Christmas, i.e. December this year. Above given information is based on multiple speculations, therefore users are advised to take it with a grain of salt.
