Motorola has long been rumored to be working on Moto X4 smartphone — a device based on unique features. Previously, the reports indicated that the smartphone will be launched sometime in Q4 of 2017. However, that certainly hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from churning away. A new online report seems to have given away all that the upcoming Moto X4 smartphone is going to come packed with.

Specifications leaked on Twitter

Venture Beat recently reported that an unidentified leakster that goes by the name of Andri Yatim took to Twitter to reveal the key specifications coming in the Moto X4 smartphone.

If the information provided by Andri Yatim is believed to be true then the smartphone is going to be powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor chipset. This could explain why the launch of the Moto X4 smartphone has been delayed. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 chipset is being used in many of the leading mid-range smartphones — all scheduled to launch in the span of the next couple of months. Therefore, the firm hasn’t been able to deliver the processors in time to all the smartphone brands. A recent report by Deccan Chronicle suggested that the smartphone is going to be powered with Google’s Project Fi. As explained by the publication, the Project-Fi program is designed to use multiple mobile virtual networks to deliver optimum signal services to the user.

Evan Blass on Moto X4

The smartphone is among the very few devices that will be running on Google’s Project Fi. As mentioned by Gizbot, another prominent leakster Evan Blass also has a lot to reveal regarding the upcoming Moto X4 smartphone. According to him, sources close to the matter have revealed that the smartphone will not come powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 SoC but Snapdragon 660 chipset processor clocked at 2.2GHz.

On the storage front, the smartphone is expected to offer 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the upcoming smartphone will also be housing a relative smaller 3,000mAh battery. As far as the camera specifications of the Moto X4 smartphone is concerned, the device is expected to sport a dual Rear Camera setup with 8MP and 12MP sensors.

The smartphone will further be coupled with 16MP sensors on the front-side.

Additionally, the upcoming smartphone is expected to sport an IP68 certified-chassis. A fingerprint sensor will also come located next to the rear camera of the device. The smartphone will most probably be built out of aluminum. However, none of the above-given information has been confirmed by the company as yet. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether this actually turns out to be true.
