LG’s flagship smartphone LG V20 received a lot of appreciation from users when it got released last year. Now, people are very keen to know about what the LG V20 successor, possibly dubbed as LG V30, will offer regarding specs and features. The handset is likely to get unveiled on August 31, just a day before the IFA 2017 Conference will kick off in Berlin. Notably, LG’s previous flagship was launched similarly. So, there are high chances that the tech giant will follow the same path this time.

Some LG V30 renders have recently surfaced online, courtesy of OnLeaks, that shows the smartphone in excruciating detail.

In the pictures, the handset features rounded corners, a USB connector, and speaker holes. On the top edge, there is a headphone jack. Also, there is no secondary display in sight.

LG V30 rumored specs & features

Going by latest rumors, it is expected that the upcoming LG V30 will flaunt a slimmer bezel on the front to offer a more premium look. Among other specs, the device is rumored to feature at least a 6-inch Quad-HD edge-to-edge screen, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage options. As far as the camera is concerned, the handset might feature dual 13 megapixel rear cameras and an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper.

The LG V30 is also rumored to get a fingerprint scanner at the rear, a virtual home button, a headphone jack on the top edge, USB-connectivity and wireless charging feature.

The dimensions of the handset are roughly 151.4 x 75.2 x 7.4 mm.

LG V30 might ditch secondary display

Notably, the LG V20 and LG V10 were released with the second screen feature. The second display offered users easy access to frequently used apps and also served as an area for notifications. But this time it is expected that the LG will ditch the second display in the upcoming smartphone as the same was not received very well by users.

The upcoming handset is likely to get fierce competition from other smartphones that are expected to get released in the second-half of the year. As per rumors, the highly anticipated 10th anniversary special Apple iPhone 8 might get a September launch this year, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could get a mid-August or late-September launch, while the second-generation Google Pixel 2 could get launched sometime in October.

Readers are advised to take the LG V30 specs and features information with a hefty pinch of salt as nothing yet has been officially announced by the makers.
