Lenovo has mainly been focusing on the smartphone market. However, it seems that they are not going to neglect other sections altogether. The firm has also been working on new laptops, along with tablets as well. According to several online reports, a new Lenovo tablet with Model Number TB-X704Y has recently been spotted online. This has given rise to speculation over Lenovo’s plans of launching a new tablet.

The tablet-in-question model numbered, ‘TB-X704Y’ has apparently been certified by the official United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) during the beginning of this week.

Apart from this, various speculations and rumors regarding the same have also been posted online. Combining both the provided information, a lot can be collected regarding the upcoming device’s possible specifications. If reports are believed to be true, then the upcoming Lenovo tablet is going to be added to the Lenovo Tab 4 8 families. Two versions will be added namely Lenovo Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 8 Plus. These are expected to fall in the mid-range category.

Release date is not confirmed

It is still uncertain whether the devices are the same as the ones unveiled by Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) earlier this year. The firm at that time had confirmed that the devices would be brought to the market by the end of 2017.

It seems like a high possibility that the two devices might be linked together. However, the same hasn’t been officially confirmed as yet. Unfortunately, details regarding the upcoming device’s exact dimensions haven’t been revealed as yet. However, possible sketches have been posted on the FCC website. By this, it is safe to assume that the upcoming Lenovo tablet will most probably be 120mm in height, and will sport a slightly thinner body in comparison to its predecessors.

Powered by top-notch features

As for the specifications, the upcoming tablet is expected to sport an 8-inch display panel and will most probably be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 processor. On the storage front, the device is speculated to arrive in either 2GB or 4GB of RAM. The tablet’s major highlight is its battery that is clocked at 7,000mAh power.

The battery will be non-removable by nature. On the connectivity front, the device will offer the necessities including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a Type C USB port among others. For more tech updates, stay tuned.
