The release date of Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 smartphone has emerged on the web. The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the much-awaited phablet next month, subsequently rolling out the smartphone to the market by early September.
The Korean media outlet, The Bell, reported the release date of the Galaxy Note 8. The publication made it known that there are two main reasons why the tech company would like to release the smartphone soon. While Samsung successfully launched the Galaxy S8, the sales of the mobile device have declined recently.
Also, Samsung sees a number of mobile operating companies rolling out several iPhone 7 promos in preparation for the arrival of Apple’s iPhone 8.
Note 8 at an August event
The South Korean company decided to unveil the mobile device at an August event, rather than the original schedule date in September. Samsung is also expecting that the release of the 10th anniversary iPhone will be further delayed due to supplies needed to assemble the handset.
According to Android Headlines, as the tech giant’s CEO DJ Koh recently confirmed the late August unveiling of the smartphone, it would be just days before the beginning of the world's leading trade show, IFA. The schedule of the annual event is around the time Samsung unveiled its past Galaxy Note handsets.
Also, as Samsung’s CEO has mentioned they will reveal the device at the end of August, it will hit the global market by early September.
The Express reported that the upcoming smartphone is expected to come along with several improvements over the Note 7. The new mobile device will boast a new curved AMOLED Infinity display as well as a dual-lens camera.
The handset is anticipated to arrive with Qualcomm’s super-fast Snapdragon 835 chipset. The S Pen feature of the device could be more sophisticated, which will provide its users better writing functions.
The tech titan is trying to rectify the device’s Bixby application. The feature should support the English and the Chinese language.
Interestingly, the display of the soon to be released mobile device will not come along with the integrated fingerprint sensor.
Price of the device
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display and the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Tech fans and experts are expecting the device to come with a 6GB of RAM and a 3,300 mAh battery. However, the Note 8 is expected to have a $1,000 to $1,100 price tag.
