Galaxy Note 8 is one of the most-awaited top-end smartphones to hit the shelves this year. Samsung will look to redeem itself and its phablet range after the debacle that ensued from last year’s Galaxy Note 7, due to its overheating batteries. As expected, there have been numerous rumors and speculations regarding the upcoming device and multiple renders of the phablet have also hinted at how the Galaxy Note 8 will look.

Now, a new rumor has landed which does not give any information regarding the specs of the impending handset, but rather the different shades in which it will be available.

The information comes from well-known tipster Roland Quandt. He is usually reliable when it comes to leaks and may be right in this regard as well.

Color options for the phablet

According to Quandt, the Samsung phablet will sport at least three new shades. These colors will include the signature ones like Black and Orchid Grey, but will also come with a third new shade named Deep Blue. Quandt said that there may be more shades in the offering upon launch but he was aware of these three.

The Galaxy Note 7 also came with a brand new shade which became really popular. This shade was also based on the Blue hue and was named Coral Blue. So great was its popularity that Samsung had to later release a coral blue version for the Galaxy S7 flagship, bowing to customer demands.

So, the Deep Blue shade which the new phablet is said to sport will also likely become quite popular upon release.

However, even after coming from a relatively dependable source like Quandt, the report regarding the color options are still just a rumor. Similar to all other specs and features which are known currently, the shades in which Samsung’s upcoming phablet will be available to fans also remains a mystery for now.

However, since the Galaxy Note 8 is supposed to be unveiled on August 23, fans will not have to wait much longer to know more about the handset.

Expected specs of Galaxy Note 8

The impending handset is expected to sport a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset. The handset will boast either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM along with a 128 GB internal storage.

The handset will also sport a much safer battery this time around although the exact capacity of the same is not known. The phablet will sport dual rear cameras, aligned horizontally along with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
