Samsung introduced its mid-range category smartphone, Galaxy J7 (2017) earlier this year. However, the South-Korean technology giant did not make the smartphone available to all the markets, including China. Following this decision, rumors regarding Samsung’s plans to bring a separate variant of the smartphone especially for the Chinese Market started emerging online. It seems like the Chinese market is quite close to the launch of the Galaxy J7 (2017) as now a leaked render of the upcoming device recently surfaced on one of China’s most popular websites.

According to a report published by Android Headlines, the Chinese variant of the upcoming Galaxy J7 (2017) smartphone has surfaced online. The device first appeared on Weibo (China’s version of Facebook). At first, it was assumed that there wouldn't be any visible differences in the original variant and the one that is about to launch in China. However, on the basis of these leaked renders, it appears that the Chinese variant of the upcoming smartphone is going to come equipped with a dual Rear Camera system.

What leak has to say?

If this does turn out to be true then the smartphone for China will be the first Samsung smartphone to carry a dual rear camera set-up. The dual rear camera set-up is placed vertically on the rear panel of the smartphone. It is also further accompanied by a single rear camera and flash as well. No details regarding what type of sensor is being used for it have been provided by the company or the leakster as yet.

The images further reveal that the smartphone is made of metal, and features a uni-body design. On the basis of this, it has been assumed that the users won’t be able to remove the back casing of the smartphone.

Specs and features of J7

As usual, we can rely on Android Headlines to have all the specifications of the upcoming smartphone to hand. It doesn’t appear that Samsung will be implementing changes to these. The smartphone will come featuring a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display and is powered by Exynos 7870 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. On the storage front, the smartphone offers 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage as well. The smartphone houses a 3,600mAh battery and runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The launch-date of the Chinese variant of Galaxy J7 (2017) is still unknown. The company hasn’t provided with any confirmation regarding this.
